Safety Guidelines
Your safety is our top priority. Follow these guidelines to have a safe experience.
Meet in public first
Before moving in together, always meet in a public place like a café. Get to know each other safely.
Never send money before signing
Legitimate landlords and roommates will never ask for payment before you have signed a lease and seen the property in person.
Watch out for red flags
Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true, requests for payment via wire transfer or gift cards, or anyone who avoids meeting in person.
Use verified profiles
Look for the blue shield badge on profiles. Verified users have completed identity checks for added security.
Report suspicious activity
If something feels off, trust your instincts. Use the report button on any profile or listing. We review all reports within 24 hours.
Keep communication on-platform
Use roommes messaging for all initial communications. This protects your personal information and provides a record if issues arise.
